Kerala SSLC Result 2026 — Why Was It Delayed
The Kerala SSLC Result 2026 was originally expected on May 8, 2026. However the result was postponed to the third week of May due to the impact of the US-Israel war on Iran which disrupted board examinations in the Gulf region.
The state government introduced a special evaluation framework for affected Gulf students. A total of 633 SSLC students who could not appear for their exams will be assessed based on their performance in model or term examinations along with grace marks. These scores are being combined with Continuous Evaluation scores and practical marks to determine final results.
Once this special evaluation is complete and all results are compiled the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan will announce the SSLC Result 2026 through an official press conference.

Kerala SSLC Result 2026 — Grading System Explained
Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan follows a grade based system for SSLC results. Understanding your grade is important for Plus One stream selection.
| Marks Range | Grade | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 90 to 100 | A+ | Outstanding |
| 80 to 89 | A | Excellent |
| 70 to 79 | B+ | Very Good |
| 60 to 69 | B | Good |
| 50 to 59 | C+ | Above Average |
| 40 to 49 | C | Average |
| 30 to 39 | D+ | Satisfactory — Pass |
| Below 30 | D | Fail |
Students who obtain D+ grade or above in all subjects are declared Eligible for Higher Studies — EHS. Students who secure D grade or below in any subject are classified as Not Eligible for Higher Studies — NHS.
A minimum of 30% in the Terminal Evaluation written exam is required to achieve D+ grade. Even strong Continuous Evaluation scores cannot compensate for failing the written component.
Minimum Passing Marks — Kerala SSLC 2026
Students must secure at least D+ grade in each subject to pass. This requires a minimum of 30% in the Terminal Evaluation written exam in every subject. The final grade combines Terminal Evaluation and Continuous Evaluation marks.
Kerala board does not release a topper list after SSLC result. Any score above 90% is considered excellent. The board publishes the names of top performing districts instead of individual toppers.
results.kite.kerala.gov.in Not Opening — What to Do
Result day brings lakhs of students to the same portal simultaneously. If the main site is slow follow this order:
Try sslcexam.kerala.gov.in first as an alternate official portal. If that is also slow open keralaresults.nic.in in a separate tab. Use Saphalam 2026 app — it is specifically built to handle result day traffic better than browser portals. Try PRD Live app as another alternative.
If everything fails wait until evening — traffic drops significantly within the first two hours of result declaration and all portals become fully accessible.
